Description of Saccharin Sodium
Sodium saccharin is white crystals or white crystalline powder. It is primarily an artificial sweetener and approximately 300 times as sweet as sucrose (regular sugar). Sodium saccharin is most commonly used as a food additive to sweeten products such as candies, vitamins, salad dressing, gum, table sweeteners, jam, canned fruit, drinks, medicines, toothpaste and much more. It is also used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and electroplating industries as a nickel plating brightener.
