Description of Monopotassium Phosphate/MKP
Monopotassium Phosphate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KH2PO4. It is deliquescent and melts into a transparent liquid when heated to 400°C. After cooling, it solidifies into opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Industrially used as a buffer, culture agent, also used as a flavoring agent for bacterial culture to synthesize sake, a raw material for making potassium metaphosphate, a culture agent, a strengthening agent, a leavening agent, and a fermentation aid for brewing yeast, and used in agriculture High-efficiency phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer.
