Description of Nitromethane:

Nitromethane is a colorless oily liquid with a slightly irritating odor. Soluble in ethanol, ether, and dimethylformamide, partially soluble in water.

Application of Nitromethane:

1. It is mainly used as a solvent polarity in adhesives and can be miscible with many organic compounds. It can dissolve cellulose derivatives, resins, dyes, fats, etc., especially for nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, polyacrylonitrile, polyester, wax products, etc. It has good solubility.

2. Used as aerosol propellant, rocket fuel, and in the manufacturing of explosives, dyes, etc.

3. Used as a solvent, rocket fuel, gasoline additive, and in organic synthesis.

4. Nitromethane has a high polarity and can dissolve with many organic compounds. It is a good solvent and can be used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, vinyl resins, polyacrylate coatings, and beeswax. It can also be used to produce explosives, rockets, fuels, pharmaceuticals, dyes, insecticides, fungicides, stabilizers, surfactants, and gasoline additives.
