Description of Chloroform:

Colorless transparent liquid. Has a special odor. Sweet taste. High refractive index, non flammable, heavy, and easily volatile. Pure product is sensitive to light.

Application of Chloroform:

Organic synthetic raw materials are mainly used to produce freon, dyes, and drugs, and are commonly used as anesthetics in medicine. It can be used as a solvent and extractant for antibiotics, spices, oils, resins, and rubber. Mixing with carbon tetrachloride can make a non freezing fireproof liquid. It is also used as a propellant for aerosols, a fumigant for grains, and a standard solution for temperature calibration.
